"Ministry is about connection, one to another, about sharing in suffering and joy, about persons meeting persons with no pretense or secret motives. It is about shared life, confessing Christ not outside the relationship but within it. This, I learned, was living the gospel"

– Andrew Root, Revisiting Relational Youth Ministry

BETHEL BIBLE SERIES

Pastor Mark teaches this two-year, in-depth study of both the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament. Using pictures to memorize key themes and concepts, students come away with a comprehensive understanding of the Biblical story. Learn more about the Bethel Series and contact Pastor Mark if you’d like to join our next session. As with all we do, you don’t have to be a “member” at Cross of Grace to participate.

ADULT FORUMS

These casual conversations during the Sunday school hour, at 9:45 a.m., meet roughly Labor Day thru Memorial Day. They revolve around issues that bring life and faith together for the adults and confirmed of our congregation. Most recently we have been using topics from Wired Word to discuss how our faith calls us to relate and react to current events. Our Sunday school and Adult Forum programs take a break during the summer months.

MEN'S BIBLE STUDY

Men from the congregation gather for Bible study, discussion and fellowship, led by one of our Partners in Mission. No experience is necessary for these casual, meaningful discussions, which take place on Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in the Library.

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY

Women are invited to gather for fun, lively studies focused on a variety of topics. Snacks and refreshments are provided. We regularly have offerings on Monday mornings and Thursday evenings.

SonRise ministers for and with adults with differing intellectual and physical abilities, through Bible studies, crafts, snacks and music. It’s always a great time to get involved with this fun, meaningful ministry.

SonRise also hosts a Summer Vacation Bible School, this year’s dates are June 26th, 27th and 28th. Reach out to our church office for more information if you would like to be involved.

CROSSROADS

Are you curious about what it means to be a disciple and "Partner in Mission" at Cross of Grace? Do you want to know more about the Lutheran church? Do you wish you knew how you could 'plug in' more to the mission and ministry at Cross of Grace? The CrossRoads class is your invitation to all of these things.

CrossRoads is our take on new member education and it's a fun, casual way to learn about all of the above before making a commitment to the partnership so many of us share. It's not a test to pass. It's not a hoop through which you must jump. It's a great way to get to know more about the people and ministries here.

Classes usually take place on Sundays in August, but look for details in the newsletter or contact the church office for more information.
