Bring a friend and join us for food, fun and a movie in honor of the MLK holiday.

Young people, ages 14 -19, will gather to be enlightened about race, racism and racial justice in our culture, and they will be inspired and educated about ways to stop it. Registration is limited to 40 participants. Cost is $25, though grants and scholarships are available for anyone in need. Register HERE.

Bring a friend and join us for food, fun and games at church for the evening. We’ll also help prep and kick-off this weekend’s 36-Hour Prayer Vigil.

Faith Formation Youth (grades 6-8) will have lunch and then head to Greenfield for corn mazes, pumpkins and other fall fun. Please let Pastor Mark know you plan to be part of it.

Gather outside to watch a movie under the stars. We’re asking for $10/family and the High School Youth will be selling concessions. All the funds raised will support their trip to the ELCA National Youth Gathering in 2024. Bring chairs, blankets and whatever you need to be comfortable for the fun!

All youth in 6th – 12th grades are invited to some fun at the Freedom Springs Aquatic Center in Greenwood. We’ll be sharing a poolside shelter with New Palestine UMC and Mount Comfort UMC, so look forward to re-connecting with each other and some new friends as we’re all getting back to school and looking ahead to the fall.

Bring your backpacks or school bags to either of the morning worship services (8:30am or 10:30am) for our annual “Blessing of the Backpacks” liturgy. We will offer a prayer and blessing for all who are beginning the new school year.

We’re having a blast with our pre-school and elementary aged kids on Wednesday evenings this summer. There’s food, guest presenters, song, dance, crafts, games, Bible Study, and more. (Think of it as Vacation Bible School, one Wednesday at a time.)

Cross of Grace High School youth will prepare and serve our annual Sweetheart Dinner on Saturday, February 15 at church. Come enjoy a lovely evening, including lasagne (meat or veggie options) and dessert, for $30 a couple. Childcare is provided. Proceeds go towards the Cross of Grace High School Spring mission trip to North Carolina.

Dinner will be served at 6:00pm. RSVPs are required.

High School Youth are invited to Jake Wingo’s (1027 Mohr Street, Shelbyville) for some back-to-school fun. Just bring some food to share and let Pastor Mark know if you want to ride with him from church, at 1:30 p.m.
