First Communion Instruction will be held on Sunday, March 3, from noon until 2pm. This is a fun, meaningful way for those in grades 2–4 to learn about the sacrament and to prepare to celebrate communion during worship on Maundy Thursday, April 18 (7:00 p.m.). Ministry Fair

After each worship service come explore all the ways you can be involved in various ministries at Cross of Grace. Representatives from each ministry will set up displays and be on hand to answer any questions you may have. You can learn more about music groups, Bible studies, fellowship opportunities, youth and family opportunities, and more! Snacks and refreshments are provided.

SonRise VBS

Again this year, Cross of Grace is hosting a Vacation Bible School experience for our SonRise friends – local adults with unique emotional, physical, and cognitive needs. We anticipate a joyful experience full of singing, worship, learning Bible stories, and making new friends. Many volunteers will be needed to make this event a success, so please contact the church office to indicate your willingness to help.

The program will be held Monday, July 16, Wednesday, July 18 and Thursday, July 19. All are welcome to participate in the program's closing worship service on Thursday at 7:30pm

Summer Day Camp

Cross of Grace's "Camp at Church" experience is back for its 3rd year! Kids entering grades 1–6 are invited to register for a week of Christian summer camp right here in New Palestine!

During the week of July 9-13 four college-age counselors will come to Cross of Grace and lead daily programming from 9am until 4pm Monday through Thursday (Friday's programming ends at noon). Kids will be treated to the basics of a typical camp experience combined with the comforts of home. There will be a Sunday evening kick-off event as well as a closing program for kids and parents at pickup time on Thursday.

Registration costs $50 for one child or $75 for two or more children in the same family.

Breakfast Club Book Discussion

Join us Wednesday mornings throughout May to explore the rich and provocative book, The Marvelous Pigness of Pigs by Joel Salatin – a self-described “Radical, lunatic, Libertarian, Christian family farmer” and world-renowned authority on sustainable farming and ecology. This book explores the intersection of theology and creation care, which will help frame some of Cross of Grace's ministries including our new garden. Books are provided for free. The gatherings are B.Y.O.Breakfast.

After our 10:45am worship service we'll head over to The Movie Theater Church at the Washington Square Mall in order to help this church move into a new facility. Lunch will be provided. This service project is for adults and youth in Faith Formation and High School.

Directions: Going counter-clockwise around the mall perimeter, drive behind the AMC theater and head towards the east wall of the mall. You'll see an "MTC" sign indicating where to enter.

World-renowned farmer and author Joel Salatin is speaking at the New Palestine High School auditorium this Saturday at 2pm. Joel runs Polyface Farm in Virginia and has been featured in numerous documentaries and books about sustainable agriculture. Joel is an entertaining and provocative speaker whose approach to farming is framed by his Christian faith. Whether you farm hundreds of acres, tend a small backyard garden, or simply care about the kind of food that you eat, this will be a valuable event. Join us Sunday at 9:45 a.m. for our monthly inter-generational gathering. Partners in Mission of all ages will gather in the Fellowship Room for the fourth in our series of chances to make new friends, have fun, and learn together about the many ways we can live as disciples. All other education-hour offerings (preschool, GraceQuest, Faith Formation, High School, Adult Forums) are canceled to allow for everyone to participate.

You are invited to attend a two-night event to hear their experiences and learn what this experience can mean for our local churches and communities. "Stewards of Children" Training

Cross of Grace will be hosting a sexual abuse prevention program called “Stewards of Children.” This program has been developed by the national organization Darkness to Light. The training is for adults who work with children and adolescents. Registration costs $15, is open to the public, and is limited to 30 participants. To register, email Pastor Aaron.

High School youth are invited to bring their friends and meet at the church parking lot at 1pm to carpool to the Indy Festival of Faiths at Veteran's Memorial Plaza in downtown Indy. This annual festival is a rich and energetic experience of different faith traditions and expressions. There will be food, music, dancing, and interesting encounters.
