Midweek Advent Meal & Worship

At 5:00 p.m. we invite families to gather for a worship service geared towards those with younger children. We will join together in creating a meaningful craft for the season, a devotion and some music.

We will gather for dinner at 6:00 p.m. with everyone, hosted by different families each week. Those with our younger crowd can choose to stay for the later worship, or scurry home to get the kiddos off to bed.

At 7:00 p.m., we will gather, waiting together for Christmas to come, with our traditional Blue Christmas worship on this evening.

Blue Christmas Worship

Join us for dinner at 6pm and stay for worship at 7pm. Our Blue Christmas worship is a chance to celebrate Christmas without all the pomp and circumstance of a traditional Christmas Eve worship. It's a great way for people who struggle with the holiday to welcome the hope of Jesus, even into the sadness we may be feeling in these days. It's a great way for others of us to support those who need it.

Blue Christmas Worship Service

For some people, the holidays do not bring joy and happiness: they may be experiencing grief after the death of a loved one or after a divorce. Couples may have been unable to have a child, or have endured an emotional trauma. Maybe just the pressure of the holiday preparations is overwhelming. Cross of Grace is reaching out to such individuals by offering a Blue Christmas worship service. These services have a more quiet mood than the traditional Christmas worship service, but are still filled with hope and grace.

Family Nativity Project

Representatives from the SonRise Ministry for adults with disabilities will lead a Family Nativity Project program after worship on Dec. 6. Participants will receive a free wooden nativity set. We’ll spend time together painting the nativities, which you can take home and use for years to come. Lunch will be provided. Freewill donations will support SonRise Ministry and Bethesda Lutheran Communities in Anderson.
