Camp at Church

Each summer we invite youth entering grades 1–6 to participate in a week of Christian Summer Day Camp right here in New Palestine!

College-age camp counselors visit Cross of Grace for the week and lead daily programming from 9am until 4pm Monday through Thursday (Friday's programming ends at noon). Kids are treated to the basics of a typical camp experience combined with the comforts of home.

Camp at church is $60 for the week for one child or $100 for families with more than one child.

Racial Justice Steering Committee

In our pursuit of racial equity, we tend to prioritize white benevolence towards non-white communities reinforcing existing power structures and failing to challenge harmful societal norms. Achieving true equity requires recognizing that our current ideas of “normal” are harmful and learning how these beliefs shape all aspects of our society. We can combat this by engaging in personal reflection, challenging both internal and external false beliefs, centering marginalized voices, and committing ourselves to discover a new way forward.

Our Steering Committee meets on the second Monday of each month via Zoom.

This presentation emphasizes the importance of personal reflection in our equity efforts.

This workshop will help participants unpack false assumptions about what is normal, the kind of assumptions that negate good intentions in antiracist work. Participants will work in small groups to learn to use self-reflection that will help them listen more carefully to others and discover a new way forward.

This is a FREE event and is open to the community.

Participants should register by emailing churchoffice@crossofgrace.org

or by calling (317) 861-0977.

Parking is available onsite.
